Please note:

  • By default our tours include shared accommodation in twin/double rooms, unless requested and agreed otherwise. A single supplement is available upon request. Please refer to the program to see your accommodation arrangements

  • Moshi and Arusha-based accommodations usually include breakfast only, unless requested and agreed otherwise. Please refer to the program to see your meal plans on each night

  • Most safari lodges usually do not include tea, coffee, soft and alcoholic drinks to not have you overpay for beverages you don't need. You will be able to order and pay for drinks at the hotels' restaurants

  • Tented lodges are the most common type of accommodation in the savannah. Many of them work on solar energy. This sometimes means bucket showers, limited wi-fi and no hair dryers, all in an effort to reduce environmental impact. We encourage you to do some basic research on the accommodations in your program to ensure the safari matches your travel style

Ngorongoro Conservation Area

After an early breakfast, set out for the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Africa’s most spectacular safari destinations. This ancient volcanic caldera shelters over 120 species of wildlife, including the iconic Big Five. Keep a keen eye out for the endangered black rhino grazing quietly on the crater floor and for pods of hippos cooling in sparkling pools.

Your open-roof 4x4 offers unmatched photo opportunities of Africa’s legendary predators—lions, leopards, cheetahs, jackals, and hyenas—as well as vast herds of wildebeest, zebras, antelopes, and Cape buffalo roaming the grasslands.

Pause midday for a picnic lunch beside the hippo pool, a classic Ngorongoro experience. After a full day of game viewing, return to Arusha for drop-off at your hotel. If you prefer, you can pre-arrange a transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) for your evening flight back home or onwards travel.
