After an early breakfast, you will be picked up by your professional tour guide/driver in Arusha town, ready to begin your two-day adventure. It takes a 4-hour drive from Arusha to the famous alkaline Lake Natron. You will pass through a rough road through scenic landscapes to Oldonyo Lengai Mountain.
This lake is the world’s only breeding ground for more than 1.5 million lesser flamingos. You will watch the flamingos and learn about the surrounding environment, while the main activity of the day is the Engaresero waterfalls tour. Before evening, you will head to your accommodation for dinner and overnight.

At midnight hours, drive to the starting point for climbing Mt Oldoinyo Lengai, the only active volcanic mountain in Tanzania – also called the Maasai Mountain of God – then trek 4 hours to the summit and have a view of Mt Kilimanjaro, Mt Meru and Ngorongoro Crater. In the morning, you descend for breakfast, lunch, and relaxation at the camp.
If you are interested, a Maasai Boma visit can be arranged in the evening for a local cultural experience.

After breakfast, you will enjoy a final visit to Lake Natron, where you may spot flocks of flamingos and other species of water birds. You will also have the opportunity to walk to the Munge Waterfalls for a refreshing swim before returning to your lodge for relaxation. Later, you will be driven back to Arusha, marking the end of your Lake Natron adventure.
