This exclusive 3-day fly-in safari to Northern Serengeti is crafted for those eager to witness one of nature’s most awe-inspiring spectacles — the Great Migration river crossings. Occurring between July and early September, this is when thousands of wildebeest and zebras brave the Mara River, facing powerful currents and lurking crocodiles in a dramatic fight for survival.
River crossings are unpredictable and unscripted — and that’s what makes them so thrilling! You’ll be staying at a camp just minutes away from prime crossing points, giving you front-row access and the flexibility to respond quickly when the action begins. Beyond the migration, the region offers everything you’d expect from a classic Serengeti safari: vast open plains, sweeping vistas, and an abundance of resident wildlife, including lions, cheetahs, and leopards.
Important Note:
This safari begins in the remote Kogatende region of Northern Serengeti, best accessed by bush plane. Flights to Serengeti are available from major airports in Tanzania, including Arusha, Kilimanjaro, Dar es Salaam, and Zanzibar. Domestic flights are not included in the package, but we’re happy to arrange them for you based on your travel itinerary.

The best time for wildlife viewing in Serengeti National Park is during the dry season (June to October) when animals gather around water sources. However, this 3-day adventure is available year-round, with each season offering unique experiences.
You can expect to see the Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, buffalo), as well as wildebeest, zebras, giraffes, hippos, crocodiles, and numerous bird species. The exact wildlife sightings depend on the season and migration patterns.
This is a private safari that can accommodate 1-6 travelers. The price per person decreases with more travelers, making it perfect for families and groups.
Essential items include: comfortable clothing in neutral colors, sturdy walking shoes, sun hat, sunscreen, insect repellent, camera with extra batteries, binoculars, and a light jacket for early mornings. We provide a detailed packing list upon booking confirmation.
While not mandatory, we strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance that covers medical emergencies, trip cancellation, and evacuation. This is especially important for safari adventures in remote areas.
